My Story

I started my career working as a locum community pharmacist, but I felt unfulfilled and stagnant in my career. I started looking at other options and stumbled across regulatory affairs. Regulatory affairs stood out to me as it involved merging the science with regulatory requirements — something I enjoy to this day.

But it wasn’t easy moving into regulatory affairs with no pharma experience. Most jobs required regulatory experience. But how could I get it before getting my first chance. I kept applying. After 80 applications, I eventually moved into the MHRA as a CMC Regulatory Assessor.

This was the start of my regulatory career, and I was able to find out exactly how to assess Module 3 of the CTD and what mistakes companies were making. I then built a successful career working for the largest global companies, such as GSK, MSD and Bayer. Now I have my own regulatory affairs consultancy, and I serve clients across the globe.

But looking back I realised that the hardest part of my career wasn’t the work, it was getting into regulatory affairs. So, I built the training that I wish I had when I was starting out. Training that gives in-depth real regulatory work experience, regulatory knowledge and careers mentoring so you don’t have to struggle to make the move into regulatory affairs, the way I did.
